Controlled 180° Servo Motor
180° standard servo motor is a standard servo motor which is only capable of rotating 180 ° only. 180° standard servo motors commonly used in the control of a robot arm or leg. Standard servo motor 180° of this type can only move two directions (CW and CCW) with the respective deflection angle reaches 90° so that the total deflection angle from the right – center – left is 180°. Operational servo motor controlled by a pulse width of ± 20 ms, where the pulse width between 0.5 ms and 2 ms of the end of the range of the maximum angle. If the servo motor provided with 1.5-ms pulse reaches 90° movement, so if we give less than 1.5 ms pulse the position close to 0° and when we give more than 1.5 ms pulse the position approaches 180°. Servo motor will work best if given control pin on the PWM signal with a frequency of 50 Hz. Where at the time of the signal with a frequency of 50 Hz was reached on condition Ton 1.5 ms duty cycle, the rotor of the motor will stop right in the middle (angle 0° / neutral).
At Ton duty cycle of the signal provided is less than 1.5 ms, then the rotor will rotate to the left with an angle of magnitude linear to the amount of Tons duty cycle, and it will last statistic. And conversely, if Ton duty cycle of the signal is given more than 1.5 ms, then the rotor will rotate to the right with an angle which is also linear to the amount of Tons of duty cycle, and is positioned to survive.
